Description
Asher Fordham’s life just took a turn he never saw coming. After a decade of working on a hit fantasy show, the world has been shut down with a pandemic. He’s never been one to be idle for long and his restlessness is driving his wife Veronica crazy. She suggests he goes out for a drive one day, as it’s something he can do alone and that usually helps to clear his head.
While out, he comes across an old bed and breakfast that looks like it’s seen better days. Ideas start to come at him because he’s more than just a pretty face. He’s also got years of flipping houses under his belt. Next thing he knows, he’s on the phone with the realtor getting the details. While it wasn’t exactly what his wife had in mind, he hopes she isn’t mad when he’s able to close the deal for a steal.
Despite his experience, it’s still a lot of work, especially for one man. Since restrictions had been eased a bit, he enlists his friend and former co-star, Caleb Sutton to come and help. He’s the best man for the job, since he has actual experience building houses.
But once they find themselves in close quarters, day in and day out, old habits become hard to shake and they need to remember that the past should stay in the past. Especially since neither one was ever able to man up and talk about their failed relationship. It was better that way, especially since fans had already suspected there was more to their friendship than meets the eye. And sure, they didn’t do much to discourage the rumors, but that was mostly to avoid addressing their broken hearts.
They soon find the ghosts of the past may have other plans for the two of them. It’s not long before it’s not just the house that they’re slowly rebuilding, but also their relationship.
